mud run

As part of our quarterly team-building activities, the staff at Certified Restoration participated in the exciting World Famous Mud Run at Camp Pendleton! We were all buzzing with excitement as we piled into our cars at 6 a.m. and made our way north. After checking in, we eagerly awaited our wave to start.

At 9:30, the horn sounded, and we were off! The 10k course featured around 12 challenging obstacles, including rope climbs, hay bale jumps, and muddy swimming and crawling sections. It took us just over an hour and a half to finish, and by the time we crossed the finish line, we were completely covered in mud! It was an exhilarating experience and a fantastic way to build teamwork. We supported each other as we navigated tall walls flanked by muddy pits. Joey, our designated “Morale Captain,” kept our spirits high with constant encouragement throughout the race.

After we finished, we connected with our competitors, Taxco Restoration and Olympic Carpet, to see how we fared. Taxco took first place, with Certified Restoration coming in second and Olympic finishing third. We had an amazing time and can’t wait for next year’s event!

At Certified Restoration, we believe that strong teamwork is essential not just in the field of flood and water damage restoration in San Diego, but also in activities like this. Our commitment to excellence extends beyond just mold inspection and remediation; it also fosters a strong sense of community among our team members. Whether you need emergency water damage repair or mold removal services in San Diego, we’re always here to help—just like we helped each other on the course!
